History

TSA was formed in 1946, one year before Pakistan got independence. It was established by Swiss siblings, Mr. Friedel A. Peter and Ms. Elsa Peter with the aim to provide skills and resources to the marginalized community to provide gainful occupation and be self-sustainable.  It is the first registered charitable Christian organization with the government since 1948 in Lahore, West.

Partnership with FCCU:

TSA continued its services till 2020 but faced financial instability due to COVID-19. Business activities of needle craft were heavily reduced, and created financial instability at TSA, the sales of needle crafts center were also affected as the Chinese machine-made products captured the market.  Because of these reasons, TSA was led to have its partnership with FCCU in 2020. Therefore, TSA finally decided to make its partnership with FCCU (Forman Christian College A Chartered University) for further development and self-sustainability.

In 2020, Mrs. Shamim Malik, Chairlady of TSA and Dr James A. Tebbe, the Former Rector of FCCU then made a remarkable partnership agreement between the two entities under FCCU PT for the future destiny of TSA. After a new partnership of TSA with FCCU, all things have been fully under the management of FCCU, and projects have been developed under smoother management and operations than before.
